A few weeks ago the Cleveland Cavaliers made a massive trade and it could be the most significant move of this offseason.  The Cleveland Cavaliers sent Lauri Markanen, Collin Sexton, 3 first-round picks, and 2 pick swaps to the Utah Jaxx for their 3-time all-star Donovan Mitchell. Mitchell had his press day on Wednesday and was introduced to the media as a Cavalier for the first time. Mitchell was shown a lot of love as fans crowded the bus he arrived on with signs and cheers.

Last season the Cleveland Cavaliers traded for veteran point guard Ricky Rubio. Rubio had played with Kevin Love when he was a Minnesota Timberwolve and they developed a great friendship.

Not even a whole week after the Cavaliers said that they had pulled themselves out of the Donovan Mitchell trade talks the Cleveland Cavaliers are sending Collin Sexton, Lauri Markkanen, three unprotected first-round picks, and two pick swaps for superstar guard Donavan Mitchell. The most significant return for the Utah Jazz was free agent Collin Sexton, who signed a 4-year $72 million guaranteed contract yesterday. What does this trade mean for the Cavaliers’ near and far future? The Cleveland Cavaliers and restricted free-agent guard Collin Sexton still have not come to an agreement on a new contract for the young player as we get closer and closer to the start of the NBA’s preseason. Sexton is a Rich Pual partner and it is not unusual for Paul and Kulch Sports to take these negotiations close to training camp or even into training camp as the Cavaliers saw with Triston Thompson back in 2015 before he got his new deal. Sexton has not had much of a market in his first free agency experience and he was very unhappy with the Cavaliers’ first offer to him. Every day that goes by that Sexton is still not with the Cavaliers is another day that it becomes more seemingly obvious that he will end up on a one-year qualifying offer with the Cavaliers.

It is not that the Cavaliers don’t have the right pieces to make a trade happen, it is that the Cavaliers refuse to give up any of the three players, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen. The Cavaliers refuse to give up any core players for what seems like any player.The Cleveland Cavaliers’ plan to keep their young core together is for good reason.

For the most part, the Cleveland Cavaliers line-up is set in stone with the exception of restricted free agent Collin Sexton who has yet to resign with the Cavaliers their roster should pretty much remain the same. Many fans and NBA insiders believe that Sexton will be back with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the upcoming NBA season.

It has been a few months since the start of the NBA’s free agency and Cleveland Cavaliers, guard Collin Sexton has yet to sign a deal. The 23-year-old guard has a three-year $40 million deal on the table but seemed to be unhappy with the amount of money he would be making per year.

With The NBA pre-season coming up fast the Cleveland Cavaliers have a few decisions to make before play starts. One decision would be what to do with guard/Forward Cedi Osman.

Cavaliers General Manager Koby Altman has stated many times that good things happen when Mobley has the ball in his hands, and Mobley proved that statement correct in his last game.Cleveland fans should be very excited about this young man as he will only get better when you add Jarrett Allen, Collin Sexton, and Darius Garland around him.

Even Before being drafted by Cleveland Mobley had stated he feels he plays better alongside another big man.
