Emmerdale fans have been waiting with baited breath to see who the new owner of The Woolpack will be. Names including Kim Tate (Claire King) and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) have all been in the mix, some eagle-eyed viewers think they managed to uncover the true identity. But in Thursday evening's episode, the new owner, who will row over from Chas Dingle, was finally revealed as none other than Charity Dingle, along with Ryan Stocks.

Emmerdale storyline was “upsetting and unsettling” for both herself and her character.The actress explained how, when her character Chas Dingle lost The Woolpack pub, she was left feeling very uncertain about her future with the soap. Lucy, 44, is an Emmerdale legend and is in fact celebrating her 20th anniversary on the show this year. However, now, the actress seems to be in a state of worry that this year could be her last on the popular ITV soap. A recent storyline on the show saw Lucy’s character, Chas Dingle, lose The Woolpack - a pub that has kept the publican in the centre of the soap’s drama for the past decade. When asked about how she felt to be losing a significant part of her character's life after so long, the star admitted that it wasn’t easy for her to let go.“It’s bizarre,” Lucy admitted in an interview with The Daily Mirror. “It’s fictional, I don’t really own a pub, but that bar is like my second home and when I found out I no longer owned it, my heart sank.“It was upsetting and unsettling, not only for my character, but for me too.

Emmerdale fans think they have worked out a new twist on the ITV soap and that Cain Dingle will buy The Woolpack pub when it goes up for auction. Only recently, Al Chapman discovered that Gavin was pulling out of the development deal after he had a confrontation with Cain and Mackenzie Boyd. Al then told Chas and Marlon Dingle that their contract deal was off due to Cain's involvement as he declared that the only option left with the pub was to put it up for auction.
