Broadway’s long-running musical Chicago has cast Madam Secretary actor Erich Bergen in the role of Billy Flynn, producers announced today.

Loose Women star Brenda Edwards has revealed she was rushed to hospital after slipping over on a wet pavement, fracturing her leg in the process.The TV personality, 53, shared the unfortunate news on her Twitter page, as she was forced to pull out of her role in the Chicago musical for two shows. Brenda told her followers she'd suffered the fall while walking in Blackpool, in a frustrating accident that left her unable to perform. Along with a photo of her injured calf and foot, which the presenter had bandaged up in a white cast, Brenda said she was "gutted".

Lynda Carter is flying down memory lane.  The "Wonder Woman" star took to Twitter Wednesday to share an image from her time as Matron "Mama" Morton in the musical "Chicago" in 2005 in London. "When you’re good to mama, mama’s good to you," Carter wrote, referencing a line from "When You’re Good to Mama." Crater made her West End debut in "Chicago" in 2005.The eight-week engagement was her theater stage debut.The production also starred Sally Ann Triplett as Roxie Hart, Terence Maynard as Billy Flynn and Rachel Stanley as Velma Kelly.  Carter has a long, successful career in the film and pageant industry. She was crowned Miss World USA in 1972.

She was swell, she was great.It helps that Roxie — a 1920s adulteress who murders her lover and becomes a tabloid darling as she argues self-defense — is the perfect part for the entertainment icon. Producers Fran and Barry Weissler — whose whole show is in terrific shape — have printed money for decades by cycling out an array of stars in the lead roles. However, hardly any (save for Melanie Griffith, maybe) know first-hand what it’s like to be front-page news the way Anderson does. When her Roxie is bombarded by reporters and flashbulbs at the courthouse with her smooth-talking lawyer Billy Flynn (Ryan Silverman), there’s a world-weary wisdom and a learned darkness to the actress that, intentional or not, separates her from the many Roxies who so often go overboard with squeals and emoting. Anderson is also very funny.
