Loose Women star Brenda Edwards has revealed she was rushed to hospital after slipping over on a wet pavement, fracturing her leg in the process.The TV personality, 53, shared the unfortunate news on her Twitter page, as she was forced to pull out of her role in the Chicago musical for two shows.
Brenda told her followers she'd suffered the fall while walking in Blackpool, in a frustrating accident that left her unable to perform.
Along with a photo of her injured calf and foot, which the presenter had bandaged up in a white cast, Brenda said she was "gutted". "Gutted I’ll not be able to do my two shows today @ChicagoOnStage after slipping on a dodgy wet pavement here in Blackpool and fracturing my fibula," the star told her fans.The star admitted she'd have done anything to still take part in the musical, but bosses insisted she stay home. "I was ready to go on in a wheelchair, nowt wrong with my voice, but I can’t," Brenda said. "Hope to rejoin the wonderful talented cast soon." Colleagues and fans flocked to the comments to share their thoughts for the TV star, as Loose Women favourite Ruth Langsford was one of the first to share her well-wishes. "Noooo!
