2024 Emmy Awards on Monday evening amid her MS battle.The actress got emotional as she got a standing ovation from the crowd when she joined host Anthony Anderson on stage.Applegate donned her cane and gorgeous red gown to present the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series to Ayo Edebiri for “The Bear.”As she walked up to the stage, Applegate joked that her body was “not by Ozempic.”After Edebiri accepted her award and left the stage, the “Sweetest Thing” star introduced comedy legend Carol Burnett.The icon, 90, presented the accolade for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series to “Abbott Elementary” star Quinta Brunson.Applegate revealed her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis in 2021 while filming her Netflix series, “Dead To Me.”In a 2022 interview with Variety, Applegate opened up on being diagnosed with the disease while in the middle of filming. “I didn’t know what was happening to me,” she said.
