Pep Guardiola's decision to move Savinho to the left-hand side has revitalised Manchester City's faltering season. That is the frank view of former City defender Micah Richards who believes Savinho's impact on the left-wing in City's 4-1 win over West Ham was what Erling Haaland has been 'yearning for' this season.
Savinho joined City for around £30.8million in the summer from French side Troyes and he has largely been used on the right hand side of the front three.
The Brazilian is left-footed though and Guardiola switched him to the left-hand side in last weekend's 2-0 win over Leicester and he bagged a goal and an assist to help his side end a rotten run of just one win in 13 matches.
And the 20-year-old picked up from where he left off as he grabbed two assists in City's comfortable win over the Hammers on Saturday.
