People are being urged to plan ahead as some State Pensions and benefit payments delivered by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and Social Security Scotland may arrive on Friday, December 22 instead of the scheduled day next week due to Christmas bank holidays.
Similar changes follow next week to take into account New Year’s Day on Monday, January 1 and the Scottish bank holiday on Tuesday, January 2.

Its online benefits calculator allows people to check their entitlement to both devolved and reserved benefits. During the festive period, the charity will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, and January 2, however, services will be available as usual at all other times.
