Pensioner rushed to hospital after serious road crash in Lanark

Police are appealing for information following a serious crash in Lanark.The incident happened around 7.45pm on Friday, January 13, on Waterloo Drive at its junction with Bellefield Road and involved a black Mercedes and a pedestrian.The pedestrian, a 79-year-old man was taken to Wishaw General Hospital and later transferred to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where medical staff describe his condition as critical.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
