Pensioner left with 'serious' injuries after horror collision

Police have issued an urgent appeal for information after an 80-year-old man was hit by a car in Bury on Tuesday evening. Emergency services were called to Higher Lane, Whitefield, at around 5:30pm on November 5 following a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

Police believe a grey Nissan Qashqai collided with the man, who suffered serious injuries as a result. They are now appealing to members of the public for more information following the incident near Dales Lane and Ringley Road. "At 5:30pm on Tuesday 5 November, police were called to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Higher Lane, Whitefield, near to the junction with Dales Lane and Ringley Road."It’s believed that a grey Nissan Qashqai collided with an 80-year-old man, who suffered serious injuries."Police are asking for witnesses and anyone who may have information regarding the incident, to please get in touch.
