A man has said his teenage sister has been left' frightened' and 'a different child' after she was escorted onto a train and forced to leave Manchester after attending the Christmas markets at the weekend.

Jonny O'Brien, 26, said his 14-year-old sister went to the Manchester Christmas markets with her friends on Saturday (November 23).

He says she was one of huge crowds of Traveller and Gypsy children who were 'bullied' into getting onto trains and forced to leave Manchester, with no idea where they were being sent.

She ended up near Manchester airport, where he was eventually able to collect her. But Jonny told the Manchester Evening News she is 'still in a state of shock' after the way she was treated, and keeps asking 'What did I do wrong?'.
