Karis Musongole says she cried 'happy tears' when she found out she would be joining the cast of Wicked, currently the number one movie in the country.
The up-and-coming actress, from Blackley, is part of a cast that features the likes of international pop star Ariana Grande; British actor and singer Cynthia Erivo; and Manchester Metropolitan University alumni Michelle Yeoh.
The film, released on November 22, is about a misunderstood young woman with green skin called Elphaba (Erivo). It follows her journey as she forges an unlikely friendship with a popular Glinda (Grande) at a university for magicians.
