People living in a quiet south Manchester street had their peaceful Sunday afternoons shattered after a fight between two men spiralled into a murder investigation.
Residents of Rushmere Avenue were left struggling for words as forensic officers went in and out of a house that remained taped off on Monday.
Eyewitnesses described suddenly seeing more than a dozen emergency services vehicles fill the narrow terraced street around 9pm with one man seen to be be put in a police van.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that a 36-year-old man died after a 'fight' between two men, reported around 8.50pm. He died at the scene after being found with serious injuries.
