Paul O'Grady's daughter Sharyn Mousley has recalled for the first time about growing up when Paul was hitting the height of his fame as drag queen persona Lily Savage - even walking around their flat with his thigh-high boots on at the age of 13.
The much-loved presenter, comedian and all-round entertainer died "unexpectedly but peacefully" in March 2023. In her first-ever TV interview, his daughter Sharyn recalled living with Paul in London as he hit the stage with his infamous drag act as his life as Lily is set to be remembered in a new ITV documentary.
Paul, who was renowned for hosting The Paul O'Grady Show, Blind Date and Blankety Blank, as well as ITV's For The Love Of Dogs, will be seen in The Life and Death of Lily Savage which will be screened on ITV1 this Easter, along with his final TV project, Paul O’Grady’s Great Elephant Adventure.
The feature-length documentary will feature Paul’s daughter Sharyn interviewed for the first time about her father alongside other close family and friends including Sir Ian McKellen, Julian Clary and Graham Norton while Paul’s own words will be used from earlier recordings.
