Paul Ince has taken aim at Manchester United for letting Dortmund striker Erling Haaland "slip through the net". The Red Devils were linked with a move for the former Salzburg forward, who was available to sign for just £17million - the price of his release clause.
But Manchester United were beaten to the punch by Bundesliga club Dortmund, who snapped up the wonderkid in the January transfer window.
Since moving to Germany, Haaland has shown further signs of improvement. The Norwegian wonderkid netted a hat-trick in just 20 minutes of his Dortmund debut in a 5-3 win over Augsburg.
Haaland has gone on to bag a further nine goals in just 10 games, and would likely cost in excess of £100million in today's market.
