Paul Ince says Manchester United should have committed to signing Erling Haaland in January as they needed an elite striker.
United decided against paying the asking price for Haaland as they were concerned over agents' fees and his future release clause.
Since Borussia Dortmund won the race to sign the RB Salzburg striker, he has scored 12 goals in 11 appearances for his new side, with two assists.
His record since the start of the season for both Salzburg and Dortmund is 40 goals and nine assists in just 33 appearances.
