Both Giggs and Scholes elongated their United careers under Sir Alex Ferguson, with the Welshman breaking the club's appearance record and playing on past his 40th birthday.
Scholes, on the other hand, retired in May 2011 - before coming back out of retirement in January 2012. And Giggs has now told beIN SPORTS’s The Champions Club that it was Scholes' desire to play as much as he could that proved to be the difference.
