Paloma Faith has revealed that her divorce was the "worst thing" that ever happened to her.The multi-platinum selling singer, opened up about her break up from French artist Leyman Lahcine on The Jonathan Ross show.The 42 year old shared that her heartbreak following the divorce inspired some of her upcoming album The Glorification of Sadness. Speaking about whether this is her most personal album yet, Paloma said: "They’re all personal but it’s just that the worst thing that happened to me, happened and I wrote an album about it.
It chronicles the stages of grief I went through breaking up with my partner of ten years and father to my two children." The Glorification of Sadness is Paloma's sixth studio album and the lead single How You Leave a Man"was released on 11 October.
It includes tracks that were influenced by the break up of her marriage, and revealing how Leyman feels about their troubles being turned into song, she said: "He knows what he signed up for. "He was a little bit disappointed when he saw the end of my How You Leave A Man video.
He did go ‘Why am I in the trunk?’ It’s a metaphor babe! He was a bit offended. But he now knows we’re together forever - it means the absolute eternal thing is that our love came together and made these kids, it is infinite.
