An opportunistic cleaner stole £300 from a Johnstone supermarket’s till drawer. Jordan Reid – who has a previous conviction for dishonesty – was working in the town’s Aldi when he pocketed £300 in mixed coins from the tills.Paisley Sheriff Court heard how the 23-year-old was “struggling financially and mentally” after the loss of his grandfather when he stole the cash in a “moment of desperation” between March and April this year from the High Street store.
