Paddy McGuinness broke down in tears after receiving a ‘significant’ update on his Children in Need challenge. The Bolton TV presenter is currently embarking on an ambitious Ultra Endurance Cycle Challenge, which will see him attempt to cycle 300 miles from Wrexham AFC to Glasgow on a Raleigh Chopper.
Earlier this week, Paddy revealed he sought assistance ahead of undergoing the challenge - which he is set to complete on Friday - from Olympic superstar Sir Chris Hoy who put him through his paces with a brutal training regime. After Zoe revealed that £1,000,277 had been raised, Paddy broke down into tears whilst taking a breather on the third day of the endurance challenge in the Cumbrian hills.
With Vernon Kay declaring it a ‘significant signpost’, Paddy struggled to compose himself. “Thank you so much, thank you so much everyone,” she said through tears. “That’s amazing, that’s absolutely amazing.” “Oh god, I can’t believe we’ve got to a million, I can’t believe it,” he added before shouting to the people near him: “We’re over a million pounds everyone!” A video clip of the interaction has since been shared on social media, with people adding their support for the star’s on-going attempts for the Children in Need charity.
