Paddy McGuinness has shocked fans by appearing to work out nude following his recent love split.Following weeks of speculation, the Top Gear host, 48, confirmed his separation from his wife Christine, 34, on Instagram last month.The pair have been married for 11 years and share three children.READ MORE: Paddy McGuinness returns to social media after shock split from wife ChristineThey are still living together.Paddy returned to social media in wake of the split to share a snap of junk food in the boot of his car and he followed that up with a gym session.Posting to his Instagram stories on Wednesday, Paddy shocked his two million followers by sharing a clip of himself lifting weights.The Northern comedian appeared to be nude as he lifted barbell weights while topless.The only clothing which could be spotted in the short video were Paddy's white ankle socks.He lifted the heavy-looking weights to a sound clip of Black Eyed Peas hit My Humps.It was later confirmed that Paddy had been wearing some clothing during his gym session.In a follow-up clip, the Phoenix Nights star can be seen wearing very small briefs while using a leg press.Paddy's gym workout follows him and Christine releasing a joint statement in regards to their separation.

On Instagram, they wrote: "We hadn't planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but after the lack of privacy surrounding our life personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify."A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children."This was not an easy decision to make but we are moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children."We'll always be a loving.
