Hojlund - who has completed his medical ahead of Saturday's unveiling - netted 16 times for Atalanta last season, of which nine came in Serie A.
The 20-year-old arrives on a £64million deal with an extra £8m in potential add-ons, having arrived in Italy for £13m a year ago.
Some believe the striker, who scored five times in two Denmark matches in March, will take a number of weeks to settle into Premier League football.
