Owen Beck is reportedly back on the Celtic transfer agenda this summer - but Liverpool appear to have shut the door on a loan exit.
The left-back enjoyed a successful loan spell at Dundee last season - but returned to Anfield mid-season to be assessed by then-boss Jurgen Klopp.
The Welshman would join the Reds' first-team squad when the Hoops' showed interest in taking the 21-year-old north of the border against.
However, Beck would make his Liverpool debut after the end of his Dee loan spell - and scupper any chance of a Celtic switch.
