Outlander's Sam Heughan unrecognisable as he sports dark locks in acting snaps for Batman role
dailyrecord.co.ukOutlander's Sam Heughan is known for his auburn locks in the show, and his blonde barnet in real life but unearthed snaps from early in his acting career shows the star with jet black hair.The Scots star has been playing Jamie Fraser in the show for over a decade and has collated millions of fans worldwide who are in awe of his relationship with Claire Fraser star Caitriona Balfe.However, before he took on the role of Jamie, Sam worked on various different shows such as A Very British Scandal, River City, Doctors and Homeland, just to name a few.
However, in 2011 he also performed on stage starring as Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, for the touring show Batman Live, writes The Express.Resurfaced images show the 43-year-old sporting a very different look by swapping his blonde locks for a jet black do, especially dyed for the superhero production.Jimmy Fallon discussed Sam's look from that time on his show and Sam explained: "It's a stage show—it's like a Cirque [du Soleil] show—and we went all around the world.“We did the Staples Center, we did Vegas, all around the world—yeah, it was a lot of fun!”“He also joked: "I'm not sure if Batman’s ever worn a kilt, has he?"Fallon questioned if he would ever love to return to the role for a movie and Heughan seemed thrilled at the idea before showing off his deep “Batman voice”.
Just last week, Sam shared some snaps of his trip to Australia where he was reunited with his Outlander and The Couple Next Door co-stars.
The actor took to Instagram to share a series of photographs from his trip down under and he even met up with Jessica De Gouw, who played his on screen wife in his most recent series, Channel 4's The Couple Next Door.
