Outlander's Sam Heughan to visit Glasgow Waterstones store next weekend

Outlander star Sam Heughan will delight fans next weekend as he visits a Waterstones store in Glasgow city centre for signing of his new book 'Clanlands in New Zealand' which he wrote with co-star Graham McTavish.

The Scottish actor, 43, is famed for his role in the Starz historical romance drama as playing Jamie Fraser and most recently starred in Channel 4's new steamy thriller The Couple Next Door.

The 43-year-old announced the news as huge queues are expected outside the Sauchiehall Street book store on Sunday, December 17 as he invites fans along for a signed copy of his best-selling book to spread "some Xmas cheer."He wrote on Instagram: "See you in Waterstones Glasgow for some Xmas cheer.

Mince pies optional."Waterstones had anticipated a high turn-out for the event having already sold out online as they warned fans to be prepared for lengthy queues which will be formed on a "first come first served basis" starting from 10am.The book retailer also said Sam would only be signing copies of Clanlands in New Zealand: Kiwis, Kilts, and an Adventure Down Under and nothing else that fans bring along.The Dumfries-born actor rose to fame by starring in Outlander, and has recently gripped his fans yet again with his portrayal as Danny in the new Channel 4 show alongside Eleanor Tomlinson and Alfred Enoch.
