Outlander producer Maril Davis admits she's surprised by the criticism of the seventh season as fans want more focus on Jamie and Claire.
The seventh season, based on Diana Gabaldon's novel An Echo In The Bone, closely follows the source material splitting the timelines between the 1770s and 1980s.
The season follows Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) in the past as they face their own battles while Roger (Richard Rankin) and Brianna (Sophie Skelton) time travelled to the 1980s for their own storyline.
Fans have been vocal online wanting more focus on Jamie and Claire in the penultimate season, but Outlander producer Maril Davis admits she was taken aback by the backlash.
