United produced their best performance of the Ruben Amorim era to earn themselves a point against the Premier League leaders at Anfield.
Despite seeing Martinez's opener wiped out by goals from Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah, United hit back with ten minutes left, striking through Amad, who converted Alejandro Garnacho's low cross to spark pandemonium in the away end.
United were excellent for long periods of the game, defending aggressively and being very neat and tidy when they had the ball.
