East Kilbride Farm Show is the latest event to have fallen victim to the coronavirus outbreak.It was due to take place on July the 25 at the Showpark but the organisers said “regretfully” there was no option left but to cancel.The pandemic has wreaked havoc with the area’s social calendar with a number of high-profile events cancelled including the Strathaven Balloon Festival.It was hoped there would be more assurance that restrictions on public gathering would be lifted by the end of July but with no guarantees in place – despite First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announcing her ‘road map’ for the end of lockdown – the Farm Show won’t go ahead .The committee had looked at postponing the event until September but this wasn’t possible.The
