The One Show viewers have been told what they are entitled to if their flight is suddenly cancelled. It comes after holidaymakers have been warned this week of flight delays over the summer.
Watchdog presenter Matt Allwright dedicated a slot on Wednesday night's One Show to remind passengers of their rights, using British Airways customers' recent experiences of flights being unexpectadly cancelled.
Matt warned viewers: "The summer holiday rush has already begun but this week worryingly Eurocontrol, which manages European airspace has warned of delays over the next eight weeks because of the War in Ukraine.
There's less airspace and the skies are going to be overloaded, they say." He said it is 'concerning' that Watchdog had been hearing from "so many British Airways customers who say the company really needs to brush up on your consumer rights." Matt went on to advise: "If a cancellation is less than 14 days before departure, you get a full refund if you want it and an equivalent flight, even if it's with someone else, if you don't.
