One officer involving in the shooting death of Breonna Taylor has been indicted by a Kentucky grand jury, AP reported on Wednesday (September 23).
The jury did not move forward with charges against any officers for their role in her death, the outlet adds. “A grand jury announced that Officer Brett Hankison was charged with three counts of wanton endangerment in connection to the police raid on the night of March 13.
Neither the grand jury nor the presiding judge elaborated on the charges,” AP reported. State Attorney General Daniel Cameron scheduled a news conference in the capital to discuss the grand jury’s decision.
Protesters around the world have called for the attorney general to charge the police who killed Breonna Taylor.
