A new Asda Express store is set to open in the heart of Manchester city centre. The shop, a convenience store format of a large Asda supermarket, will open at Circle Square on Oxford Road 'in the coming months'.
The site is on a busy commuter route and is close to both the University of Manchester and the Manchester Metropolitan University.
Asda Express was first launched in late 2022, with only three other stores across the UK so far. Work will begin on the new retail space in the near future after the supermarket giant signed a 15-year lease with Vita Group for the spot on Oxford Road. James Laws, senior director of wholesale and convenience at Asda said: "We’re incredibly excited to be bringing our Asda Express format to Manchester in the coming months.
