Rio Ferdinand has been impressed with Sofyan Amrabat’s start to life at Manchester United and believes the midfielder could help restore the correct culture within the club.
Amrabat has played two of his three United matches at left-back amid the defensive injury crisis Erik ten Hag is facing. The Moroccan played excellently in the League Cup win over Crystal Palace last week but couldn’t quite have the same effect against the Eagles in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat.
That said, Ferdinand is encouraged by what he has seen from the summer recruit so far. He believes the 27-year-old has the type of positive mentality that has the possibility to radiate throughout the squad.
