One man and his dog and 20 youngsters from Lanarkshire are set to thrill audiences when they follow the yellow brick road this festive season.Eastwood Park Theatre has announced its cast for The Wizard of Oz, which will take to the stage for almost sixty shows later this year.Following a successful stint last season Wishaw actor and director Garry King will again co-direct the show at the Giffnock theatre as well as performing in Spillers Pantomimes production of The Wizard of Oz.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

He will be joined on-stage by youngsters from Go Kids Scotland performing arts group where he is the principal, and his dog.It would seem that Garry, who trained at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London, doesn’t pay too much heed to an old-fashioned showbiz adage about who to work with, and he is prepared for a busy time.“The saying is not to work with kids or animals but I’m doing both as my dog is playing Toto,” Garry revealed.“I’m playing five characters in the show, and I’ve got my weans and my dog.
