On a quiet Thursday afternoon, the peace was shattered in Cheadle Hulme as police brought down the door of a seemingly innocuous property.
Earlier, a drone had made its way over the quiet residential cul-de-sac. After identifying its target, officers from Greater Manchester Police were called into action, armed with a battering ram.
Inside, they were confronted with another door which had been placed over a plastic sheet. Once this was removed using a crowbar, the entrance to the room behind it was exposed - a tiny hole taken out of the staircase.
It was then the property's secrets were revealed. Spread across several rooms, officers from GMP's Operation Avro discovered cannabis plants with a street value of nearly £300,000.
