The Ting Tings have announced details of a new album called ‘Home’. Check out the details below, as well as the lead single ‘Good People Do Bad Things’.Announced today (February 28), the upcoming record will mark their first new LP in six years, following on from ‘The Black Light’ which was released in 2018, and the re-imagined ‘Manchester Version’ that arrived the following year.Set for release on June 6, the duo – comprised of Jules De Martino & Katie White – have taken inspiration from the sun-kissed West Coast of the ‘70s for the sound.

This includes nods to the era in the harmonies and arrangements, as well as moments reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, Dire Straits, Joni Mitchell and Eagles.The first teaser of the track arrives today, in the form of the lead single ‘Good People Do Bad Things’.

It sees the group explore themes of guilt, forgiveness and making peace with the darkness we all have in ourselves. Check it out below.As for the album as a whole, the tracklist is set to capture the same charm and characteristics of the lead single, which has an underlying sense of assurance to it.“Having continuously moved around during album cycles from the UK to Los Angeles to Berlin, De Martino and White found Ibiza as their home and have now lived there for many years,” reads a new description.“After having their daughter during the pandemic, they sought succour in the foundational musical touchstones of their childhoods.
