ok.co.ukAn Olympic star has been found dead after police went to her apartment after she failed to turn up for work - and found her body inside.
Cyclist Daniela Larreal Chirinos - one of Venezuela’s most successful athletes - was reported to have been discovered on Friday.
She is believed to have been dead since 11 August.The cause of death has not yet been officially confirmed by police but a post-mortem is said to found food remnants in her windpipe, suggesting she choked and died from asphyxiation.
