The 2024 Olympic Games are coming to an end in Paris, with the closing ceremony due to take place on Sunday, 11 August at place at Stade de France.The closing event is always as extravagant as the opening, with performances from numerous famous faces and heaps of live entertainment.
As per traditional Olympic protocol, this year's closing ceremony will feature cultural elements from both the current hosts, France, as well as the next hosts, United States of America.
It will also include the official handover of the Olympic flag from Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo to Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass.
