Snoop Dogg Joined by Dr. Dre for Beachside ‘The Next Episode’ Performance at Olympics Closing Ceremony

variety.comSteven J. Horowitz Senior Music Writer Snoop Dogg spent much of the 2024 Olympics contributing to NBC’s Games coverage, and in proper form helped bring them to an end with a performance during the closing ceremony.
The rapper ran through a rendition of “Drop It Like It’s Hot” on the L.A. beach in front of elaborate sandcastles before he was joined by Dr.
Dre on a nearby stage for an energetic performance of their hit “The Next Episode.” They were part of a lineup that included Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers and H.E.R.
The performance was a nod to his hometown roots of Long Beach, as the 2028 Olympics are scheduled to take place in Los Angeles.
