Olivia Newton-John’s daughter cries on live TV over her death: ‘Still raw for me’

appeared on the Australian morning show “Sunrise” to talk about her upcoming appearance at a charity walk in honor of her mother — Olivia’s Walk for Wellness — on Sunday, Oct.

8. “I’m sorry, it’s still raw for me. People I don’t even know have lifted me up and I have been able to engage with people going through cancer,” she said during the broadcast.

Newton-John died in August of 2022 at age 73, after a battle with cancer. She was first diagnosed at age 43, back in 1992. Ever since then, she became an advocate for breast cancer awareness and research — including putting a large amount of her own money into the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, which is devoted to “sponsoring global research into plant medicine for cancer.”The Olivia Walk for Wellness will be the 10th annual event, and it will take place in Alexandra Gardens in Melbourne, Australia, with participants walking five kilometers to raise money for cancer research.“It’s an honor to continue the Walk for Wellness.

There isn’t a greater purpose in life than to give to others and when I went through my mental illness I focused on connecting with people who were going through similar pain….Even when she was at the hardest part of the battle she was still making it about others,” Lattanzi said, during her emotional interview on Tuesday.
