Cavani took his tally for the season to 12 goals with a matchwinning performance in the 6-2 Europa League semi-final first leg thrashing of Roma but is approaching the final two months of his contract.
United have the option of an additional year on Cavani's deal but there has to be a mutual agreement between the club and the player and Cavani's father claimed he wants to leave in the summer.
