Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has opened up on Alexis Sanchez's departure with the Manchester United flop set to be confirmed as an Inter Milan player on Thursday.
Sanchez's £500,000-a-week contract with United has been terminated by mutual consent, with the club taking a hit by foregoing a transfer fee in order to get the Chilean off the books.
The 31-year-old would have cost the Red Devils almost £55million had he been allowed to see out the remaining two years of his contract.
Instead his exit will be confirmed on Thursday, with Inter set to announce his permanent signing the same day after he spent the season on loan with the Serie A club.
