Oh Hyeon-gyu claims he has received a "good offer" from Celtic as the Parkhead club look to another Korean striker. The Scottish Premiership champions have been heavily linked with a couple of South Koreans already this window with striker Cho Gue-sung and midfielder Kwon Hyeok-kyu both believed to be of interest.
The latter looks less likely now though with Japanese player of the year Tomoki Iwata arriving, meaning the priority for Ange Postecoglou is signing a new striker.Gue-sung seems to be the favourite among fans but Hyeon-gyu, who notched 14 goals for Suwon Samsung Bluewings last season, has revealed reports in his homeland linking him with Celtic are true.
Speaking at a fan signing event he said: "What was reported today is true. It is not common to receive an offer from Europe like this, and Celtic, a prestigious club, gave me a good offer.
I think I have a big desire to take on this opportunity.”Hyeon-gyu isn't an out-and-out striker in the same way Gue-sung is having played out wide prior to his goalscoring run through the middle towards the tail end of last season.
