A digital expert has said 'it's clear that something seriously went wrong' as Oasis fans experienced frustration and disappointment as they tried to buy tickets for the band's reunion tour.
Millions of people joined a mad scramble for tickets for the legendary band's 17-date UK comeback tour next summer when they went on sale at 9am this morning (Saturday).
The concerts were expected to sell out within minutes, but many fans found themselves stuck in digital queues for hours amid reports of technical issues on booking sites.
It has prompted concern and criticism about a number of ticketing platforms and their ability handle high-demand events. Some fans hit out at Ticketmaster over dynamic pricing, with some general admission standing tickets priced at £148.50 each whilst the 'In demand' tickets were £355.20 each.
