A top weather guru has suggested that the upcoming Indian summer heatwave set to hit Britain could be hotter than anticipated for one specific reason.
Despite today's gloomy atmosphere due to unexpected overnight showers, an Indian summer-like heatwave is predicted to arrive later this week.
While most forecasts suggest a temperature around 24c, the experts at Exacta Weather are hinting it could be even hotter for one reason.
Exacta's James Madden attributes this to a mid-Atlantic high heading our way. In his latest Facebook report he said: "During last week's heat surge, temperatures peaked at and hit a very warm 29c in London for the exact date I said temperatures could hit 30c.
