William John Paul Gallagher (born 21 September 1972) is an English singer and songwriter. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Oasis in the 1990s and 2000s, and later fronted the rock band Beady Eye in the early 2010s, before beginning a solo career after the dissolution of both bands. One of the most recognisable figures in British music, he is noted for his outspoken and abrasive manner; penchant for wearing parkas; distinctive singing style, in which he elongates vowels; and signature stance on stage, which consists of him holding his arms behind his back and singing up into a downward-facing microphone.

Oasis have revealed they will be adding two more shows at London's Wembley Stadium to their schedule. Last month, brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher announced they were burying the hatchet for a 2025 reunion tour - their first since 2009.

However, when tickets for the UK and Ireland gigs went on sale over the weekend, fans faced long online queues and technical issues as over 10 million fans from 158 different countries tried to secure tickets.

Now, "as a small step towards making amends for the situation", an invitation-only ballot has been set up for the sale of tickets for the new shows on 27 and 28 September next year. This is initially open to those who missed out in the initial Ticketmaster sale. The 'Wonderwall' hitmakers faced criticism over the weekend when Ticketmaster introduced dynamic pricing, leading some fans to pay as much as £350 for tickets originally priced at less than half that amount.

The announcement for the two new shows emphasised that Oasis themselves were not responsible for the decision. It stated: "As for the well-reported complaints many buyers had over the operation of Ticketmaster's dynamic ticketing: it needs to be made clear that Oasis leave decisions on ticketing and pricing entirely to their promoters and management, and at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used." The statement read: "While prior meetings between promoters, Ticketmaster and the band's management resulted in a positive ticket sale strategy, which would be a fair experience for fans, including dynamic ticketing to help keep general ticket prices down as well as reduce touting, the execution of the plan failed to meet expectations." It continued: "All parties involved did their utmost to deliver.
