O’Shea’s Beer Garden is planning a two-week long Irish festival, kicking off on St Patrick’s Day. The Guinness will begin flowing on February 17, with live entertainment planned for the entire fortnight. “Once again this is for the people and for the city,” said O’Shea’s co-owner Paul Mackey. “We celebrate a return for the long awaited St Patrick’s Day celebration and we promise to fit that 2 year wait into a fun packed 2 weeks.

The beers are cold and the welcome is warm. We have missed you all dearly and we can’t wait to see you at the festival.” Providing food to soak up the stout will be the team from Eat New York.

They’ll be providing an ‘Irish-American twist’ on their usual output of bagels, salt beef and diner style classics. On the bill to provide music are the likes of Green Hot Clover, The Joe Keegan Band, Live Lounge, Culainn, Nicky Mc Callan, Quare Craic, Harry James and the Irish Ramblers, Mollys, Chambers featuring Richard Sanderson on fiddle and The Last Drop.

Tucked just off the Mancunian Way, the indoor-outdoor beer garden, from the same folk behind iconic Manchester Irish bar O’Shea’s on Princess Street, opened last March.
