In the opening months of the year, Nvidia rolled out its latest generation of graphics cards. Starting with the mightily powerful RTX 5090 and 5080 series cards, it eventually worked its way down to the 5070 Ti and 5070, the much more reasonably priced cards for the masses to pick up and install in their gaming PCs.
While availability of the cards is far better than it was during the dreaded superconductor shortage of 2020, RTX 5070 Ti cards are still quite tricky to get hold of with stock selling out almost as quickly as it comes in.
It doesn't help that the stock shortages seems to be inflating the prices of the cards too, with most listings set at least a hundred pounds above the £729 MSRP.
If you find yourself in the position where you need to upgrade the rest of your PC alongside your graphics card, there's a sure-fire way to ensure that you get your hands on an Nvidia RTX 5070 card while paying minimal excess on the cards retail price.
