Neil Young and Joan Baez are set to join Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for an anti-oligarchy event later this month.Both Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez have been holding ‘Fighting Oligarchy’ rallies in predominantly Republican cities across the US, and have recruited Young and Baez for an upcoming stop in Los Angeles.The senator and congressperson will be joined at LA’s Grand Park by line-up of musicians including Maggie Rogers, Indigo de Souza, Jeff Rosenstock, the Red Pears and Raise Gospel Choir on April 12.As detailed on his website, Sanders will be hitting the road to have “real discussions across America on how we move forward to take on the Oligarchs and corporate interests who have so much power and influence in this country”.

Likewise, back in 2020, he filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Trump over his usage of his song ‘Rockin’ In The Free World’, and shared multiple open letters on his website condemning the former President’s continued unauthorised use of his music.Last year, he granted Kamala Harris’s running mate Tim Walz permission to use the song in his own campaign to be Vice President.In a few short months, Young is set to return to the UK and Europe as part of his ‘Love Earth’ world tour with the Chrome Hearts.

This includes a bill-topping set at Glastonbury Festival in late June, and a headline slot at BST Hyde Park the following month.
