The One Show to remember his late friend and tell his fans memorable moments between the pair.Speaking to Alex Jones and Ronan Keating, Gyles explained why he was wearing a heart-knitted jumper.He said: "I've come in wearing a big heart because he had such a big heart."He was the most generous entertainer you can imagine, he loved just sharing comedy."And he always called himself a hack, not a writer."He called himself an entertainer, not a comedian."Gyles also recalled receiving phone calls from Barry nearly every day with a different joke, however the same joke followed in the final few calls.He continued: "I will miss his phone calls - he phoned sometimes every day of the week."I can get rid of my landline now he was the last to use it."And he used to tell a different joke every day, but recently he's been telling me the same joke."I'm not sure how long I've got these days.

I don't even dare buy a green banana."Barry's death was announced on his Twitter page by his family in view of his 10,400 followers.The post read: "It is our sad duty to inform you that our dear dad Barry (or Baz to his mates) died on Tuesday afternoon (25th January 2022) at Northwick Park Hospital in Harrow."However, we're pleased to say that he died in good spirits with his family around him."The statement went on to praise the star for his special talents for making people laugh.It read: "He had a gift for friendship (as anyone who still has a landline will testify) and a genius for putting people at ease.
