Residents of a quiet neighbourhood in Partington were stunned this morning after when police swarmed their street after an unusual item was found.
Greater Manchester Police was called out to Lock Lane, in Partington, earlier this morning (September 2). The force issued a major response, with a cordon put in place and crime scene investigators sent out to the scene.
It followed the discovery of a 'discarded piece of meat' which raised suspicion. However, it was later discovered to be beef lung, the Manchester Evening News understands.
