Niko Katic Rangers return timeframe as defender's agent gives optimistic prognosis

Rangers centre-back’s agent, Ives Cakarun, insists the Croatian star has the fighting spirit to battle back to full fitness.

He said: “His cruciate ligament is damaged but Niko is a brave guy and he will be back stronger than he is now. "We think in six months he will be able to play games.” Meanwhile, fellow defender Matt Polster has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with New England Revolution.

The Rangers full-back has completed his £350,000 move back to Major League Soccer.Polster, 27, has penned a long-term contract with his new club also having the option of a further year.
